Woohoo!! Coming off the pred!!

Hi all!

Saw my derm doc today . . . and he's cutting me down off the

prednisone!!! Very happy about that!! I'm still on 5 drops, 3x/day

of the SSKI and the twice/day sulindac and colchicine, but dropping

from 40 to 30mgs of the pred still makes me happy. My derm doc is

happy with the lack'o lumps . . . they're a light purple now . . .

and he's feeling badly for calling in a rheumy. I'm thinking uhmm

NO, we still don't know why we had the sledgehammer attacks, of which

I haven't had since last weekend, thank God. I'm wondering if it

came from cutting down from 60 to 50 to 40 mgs of the pred too

quickly . . . so I'll be watching for the sledgehammer man in the

next couple days, we'll see . . . the swelling from the attacks

finally came down this weekend . . . but I still look like a football

player from the shoulders up . . . and I've been bruising and

hivey . . . all I'm sure from the pred. Anyway . . . this post is

jumping all over . . . sorry . . . I've caught a cold on top of all

this . . . so I'm feeling crappy right along with everyone else. As

for herbs and meds . . . I have no clue . . . but I'm popping

vitamins and calcium with OJ right now!! Got a house to clean and a

housefull to feed!
