I would like to correct the statement regarding " a heck of a lot of silicone". If 75 to 100ml were required for facial lipoatrophy, it would be a heck of a lot but it does not take any where near that volume. I have no idea where you got your numbers. I have seen lipoatrophy patients faces completely restored from 4 to 18ml total, including very severe wasting. That makes the most severe only 7ml more than I have been injected with myself and I don't have lipoatrophy for which I am grateful every day.

Hey Guys and Gals….

I am Registered Nurse and have followed the development of all products, thus developed, that are available, to treat facial wasting. Articoll is not a permanent solution to the problem of facial wasting. It requires repeated treatments... Much like collagen, which requires repeated, continual treatments… And I have had patients that have “paid out” a lot of cash , only to look like hell in a few weeks. (little or no difference, after treatment swelling receded) Most are disappointed with their results…

And silicone in ocular form is not meant to be used in the volume that is required to restore facial wasting. It requires a heck of a lot of material to fill in facial wasting (averaging 75c to 100cc according to individual facial loss) Now that would be a hell of a lot of silicone to inject into any area.

And the more silicone that is used the greater the chance of serious complications..

SILICONE INJECTED IS NOT REMOVABLE, EVER!!!

Facial implants to me do not look smooth and natural…(thin wasted tissue doesn’t drape well over implants) and the implant doesn’t fill in all the hollows that we have in facial wasting. ITS NOT ONLY THE CHEEKS THAT HAVE DISAPPEARED… it is all the fleshy areas of the face. Implants will not totally correct the problem we are dealing with….

One friend from North Carolina had 4 treatments with Newfill and many thousands of dollars later still looks very wasted….

He flew to Miami for his treatments, until his bank account went dry… now he is right back where he started.

And also another patient that spent $6,000.00 total for his Newfill treatments and is right back where he started… and seeking other options. He told me he felt like he had thrown $6,000.00 away on Newfill. I consider Newfill a joke.

At last correspondence with him he is going to Love at Clinic Estetica… go www.clinicestetica.com , to get his wasting permanently taking care of. The Government of the Netherlands refers their HIV patients for treatment with Bio Alcamid, and treatment is free to those in need.

SO….After much research and correspondence with plastic surgeons and manufacturers in Europe, the Orient, and the United States, Thank God I learned of Bio Alcamid , Love, and Dr Casavantes at the Clinic Estetica in Tijuana. Love had just returned from Italy, where she demonstrated her technique of treatment with Bio Alcamid to doctors there.

Love is far more skilled with Bio Alcamid than some of the European doctors, her results more natural in appearance( I have been told Love is to make a presentation in Houston, Texas , April 19, on her mode of treatment, would be worthwhile to invest time to listen)

I have had two treatments by Love and I am really pleased with the results of her work. And as a former Operating Room, Registered Nurse, I can assure you she is a trained and competent professional. I love the product, the results and the care and treatment I have received from Love and her associate, Dr Casavantes… I go the first part of May for my third and final treatment that will give final smoothing to the entire face… I am looking forward to my visit…. The cost of the treatment I believe,is averaging around $5,000.00, total, regardless of number of treatments needed to correct your facial loss. Quite a bargain compared to other treatment costs and the fact that the treatment is permanent… (remember bio alcamid is the only injectable implant material that is REMOVABLE, doctor simply uses sterile needle technique and expresses the implant material)

NOW REALITY… I do look a few years younger… all healthy faced persons naturally look younger. LOL

The best part is that I look HEALTHY….

And already the awful stares I used to get in public are gone.

I would encourage any new member, to look back on other letters/messages and learn as much as you can about the treatment options available to you,before making your informed decision. I am sure glad I did and feel I made the best choice available.

Is bio-alcamid the only product they use in facial restoration?

I thought they used a combination of materials to complete the process.

I would be in favour of a product if it was removable!
