Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here and would like your opinions, please. A blood test about a month ago showed a Anti-TG levels 163.9 and Anti-TRO 437.5 - antibodies suggesting Hashimoto. However my FT3 levels 4.26 and FT4 12.57, and TSH 4.57 ( and 3.80 at a different lab) were still within the normal range) so I have not started any treatment. The trouble is I'm feeling awful - an extremely heavy head and legs which do not allow me to function normally and this is causing me distress and depression. I would be interested to know how people in a similar situation got on and when therapy was started. I also have some very tiny nodules on my thyroid gland. I recently went to a university hospital and gave a blood sample to test for thyroid antibodies and hormones and a number of other autoimmune diseases but have to wait another two weeks for the results. There is a possibility that I have Sjogrens too ( Hopefully I don't have any of the others because Hashimoto and a possible Sjogrens is already more than I can bear) My husband and I are both hoping that my symptoms are due to the antibodies against my thyroid gland and that the situation will improve when treatment is started. I'd be grateful for any advice and opinions. Judy
