does anybody know how to find a dentist who can sedate a child

safely? my son is 5 and needs to go to the dentist. i'm certain he

will need some type of sedation as it's pretty clear that he won't be

able to sit still or cooperate for the dentist. does anyone know how

i can find a dentist in my area who is capable of doing this safely

and kindly?

thank you,

Tracey,

Our DAN has suggested only sedating our child if it's an absolute

emergency/necessity. She told us that it can be especially dangerous for kids

on the spectrum. On the LDN/Yahoo board, there is a report from a mom w/a child

who was essentially recovered, was put under anesthesia for a GI scope and

regressed again into full-blown autism. It took several weeks of intense

supplementation and dietary interventions before getting him back.

Does he tolerate Benadryl and would that relax him enough? Just a thought.

Sorry for not being of more help.
