I just wanted to thank everyone for the encouragement and

suggestions. I will reply individually as I can but wanted to send

the group thanks so people don't feel unappreciated if I don't get to

them .

I hope no offense was taken at my mention of being independently

wealthy to go to TCI. We don't have a regular HMO like Aetna, Blue

Cross, Cigna, etc. like we've had in the past. We have Kaiser, and

since they are such a big conglomerate, apparently we don't even HAVE

" out of network " benefits with them (except for a true ER visit). So

no, I haven't even called TCI (or anywhere else; we're closer to the

UCLA and Seattle experts). I plan to go into Member Services in

person to get a copy of our policy in detail; so far, it's just been

the one phone call. Someone has e-mailed me privately with that

insurance experience, and I plan to call that person, even though it's

weird to call a total stranger. Thanks!!

Also, to clarify, Ariana has not had a failed decompression. I got a

couple of private e-mails indicating that people thought this was the

case . She has not had any surgery, nor has surgery even been

suggested at this point.
