Hello,my name is Lourdes, my son stop talking at the age of 2 and a half years. He was diacnostic with autism. Actually, he is 7 years old. In Honduras (my country) there are no doctor DAN. I have learned a lot about the case through internet. My son is following Sara's Diet and he takes certain supplements which inculde: cod liver oil, epo oil, folic acid, DMG, and lecithin granules. He has showed a lot of advance thanks to the diet know he understands what is being told to him, but he still does not communicate verbally. When my son repeats a word or a sound, the word or sound he repeats is misunderstood and its not recognize. This year he started to act a little violent, he cries a lot and acts in a hyperactive. Reason for which I decided to treat him with Micostyn and probiotics for about 4 months, because I believed he had yeast. He started to show progress in the

school activities, but a month later after I stop with the micostatyn treatment he started to show up the same old conducts eventhough he is still being treated with probiotics. I have reasons to suspect that the yeast has return. I did him some laboratory exams to prove if my son has yeast again. Tomorrow the results of the test will be hand to me. If the exam turns out to be positive I will wish to treat him with nizoral, and later to start treating him with Valtrex. I will wish to know the dosis for both medicines (valtrex and nizoral) if his approximate weight is about 55 pounds, and he is 7 years old.

My son is the same weight as yours and our DAN prescribed Nizoral 200mg in the morning. We are taking Valtrex up to a maximum of 1,500 mg. per day divided in three doses. Start slow though.
