Guest guest
Dear , I mark my calendar with the dates of flare-ups but I never have kept a detailed journal of symptoms. It is a good idea, and hopefully we can figure out something by comparing notes. Love,
Guest guest
Yes, I for one also had a bad injury to my left ankle in the late 80's. The doctors said it wasn't broken but a very bad sprain that took almost a whole year to walk on because it hurt so bad and swelled to three times it's size. I also was in a car accident in 1991 and the car door was pushed into my left leg, bruising it badely and I was on crutches for 2 months. That is the same leg with the penniculitis... Makes me wonder??? Jackie S. anatomy of a flare-up Does anyone else keep a record of the steps to a flare-up? I want to compare and contrast with everyone if you don't mind. Here is (usually) the steps to a full blown flare-up:1. chronic fatigue sets in first, usually 2 or 3 days before the inflammation shows up on one of my extremities.2. flu like symptoms (fever, joint aches, shortness of breath)3. inflammation sets in4. excruciating pain, swelling, burning sensation in eyes5. lasts about two weeks6. inflammation changes color like a bruise7. chronic fatigue looses it's death grip from my throat
Guest guest
Dear & group, That sounds just like the symptoms I get but I want to know what you do about all of these symptoms? Do you take meds or does your flare up resolve by itself?? I've been on Prednisone & Plaquinil and as I've come down off the Prednisone the lumps are reappearing. I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow and she wants to up the Prednisone again to keep this under control as much as possible. The lumps have never resolved themselves since I've had this in the past 1 1/2 yrs. Jackie S. anatomy of a flare-up Does anyone else keep a record of the steps to a flare-up? Guest guest
Hmmm me too. However my legs are still sore and hot to the touch even when the spots have gone away. The joint pain can also be attributed to my arthritis. Terri --- Sharon Carlson wrote: > , I get it all.
