Guest guest
, Don’t loose hope! It is a long process of information to filter. Were your B-12 shots methyl B-12 or regular B-12? Unfortunately Valtrex is a prescription and has to be given by a Dr. Some people are able to get it from their pediatrician, if you go into the file section of this yahoo group sight and print out some of the papers on it. You might be able to convince a regular Dr. My son’s GI doctor prescribed it for us. Or you can also do a trial of OLE (Olive Leaf Extract) there are some who like to follow the natural versions of antivirals. If you do a natural antiviral on your own you need to realize that yeast can be an issue and you should have your child on an antifungal along with it. Some people rotate naturals like Caprylic acid, Oil of oregano, GSE (grapefruit seed extract), etc. If you are able to get a prescription for valtrex you have to wash the blue dye off the pills before crushing and try to get a prescription antifungal along with it. Please feel free to e-mail me off line to ask any questions. We could also talk on the phone. Chapnalli@.... Guest guest
Hi a: I know the being overwhelmed and " am I doing enough " feeling. The other book that you may want to buy would be Amy Yasko's " The Puzzle of Autism. " There is a new edition out that you can buy from her website. I believe Amazon carries it too. In any case you can log onto www.autismanswer.com and begin with the 10 odd basic supplementation they have on there, that you need to do irrespective of genetics. Between these 2 books you should understand what autism is about. But do get in to see a good DAN doctor who can understand the big picture and treat your child, you don't want one who only looks at test results and recommends supplements based solely on that. Guest guest
Hi , Autism is treatable and perhaps even reversible. After all my readings and experience it seems to boil down to getting the heavy metals out -- detoxification. Detox may be through MB12, chelation via DMSA or DMPS or Valtrex protocal. Another important factor is high testosterone. ASD treatments don't seem to work for kids with high testosterone until testosterone levels are brough dowm. The most successful treatment I know of is chelation. Other factors to consider is the gut (yeast issues), brain inflammation and viral loads. I know this is so much to do but those who help their kids live and breath this stuff. You need to do the same. Suggest following along the folks in this group and in the Autism-Mercury yahoo group. Suggest you listen to the following: http://www.autismmedia.org/media4.html Listen to Dr. Buttar & the Geiers. Good luck. Guilford wrote: Hello my name is Guilford. My son is Donovan. Guest guest
Hi I was feeling the same way you do. My son, did not start to talk until he was 5 and half. I was beginning to loss hope , and I was even more depressed when he reacted badly to the B12 injections. He was hitting , yelling screaming , and very...very aggressive. Now I strictly I fallow a natural remedies protocol with the help and supervision of my DAN doctor, and is progressing really well. He is reading , writing , talking , and very little social skills starting to show. He still has lots of issues, but he is much much better. please feel free to contact me with any questions @ lola954011@... Lola Lola mb12 valtrex , Guilford wrote: > > Thank you so much. Guest guest
Hello, I'm not , but I want to thank you for summarizing this so clearly. I understand chelation, yeast issues, and viral loads, but how do you address the " brain inflammation " issue? When I think of inflammation, I think of Motrin (anti-inflammatory). But I'm sure people who are smarter than I have figured out something better- is it out there? Thank you again!
