Over the past 20 years I have developed a simple system [ " 4-Phase Breath Mindfulness " ] for determining the most appropriate affirmation for the present moment, based on first watching and analysing your spontaneous breathing pattern: http://www.brothermichael.org.uk/resources/breathwork.htm Do have a go at this and let me know how you get on! Affirmations are generally used to " uplift our SPIRIT " and I find that they are at their most powerful when I synchronise saying the affirmation with a conscious breathing pattern that also " uplifts my spirit " ! The Ancient peoples of the earth knew all about the powerful association between Breath and Spirit. For example in the book of Genesis, God was said to BREATH life [spirit] into Adam.
