Guest guest
thought I would pass along a delicious butter milk recipe. our family drinks gallons of butter milk per wk so we needed to research alternative ways to prepare. to make a good butter milk we take a 5 gallon bucket of fresh cream.. set it on the counter for 24+ hours. the cream naturally continues to separate and clabber. take the clabbered cream and mix/shake or churn into butter..include the yogurt at the bottom of the pail. we take the cultured butter and eat or make it into butter oils. the butter milk will be a rich product with a yogurty taste and plenty of chunks of raw butter. mix the butter milk with equal amount of pineapple juice..enjoy..remarkably refreshing drink. filling enough to be a 'meal on the run' in India and other parts of the world they prepare in the same manner but they mix the butter milk with mango pulp
