weird lung pain

I have a totally random thing happening and am wondering of others have

experienced it. For the past several days I have been having a seemingly random

lung pain. I will be fine, fine, fine, and then BOOM I have a horribly severe

pain in my lungs. It is in my upper lungs and I feel it on both sides in the

front and back. It is excruciating and extremely hard to breath for about 30

minutes. I really don't know where my peak flow meter is so I haven't checked

them, but I never get above a 250 anyway. I have tried upping my prednisone to

see if that makes a difference and haven't noticed one. It is like an asthma

attack except that it comes on way suddenly and leaves just as suddenly. They

last about 30 minutes and it has happened probably an average of 10 times a day

over the past few days. Yesterday sitting at church I noticed my fingers were

turning bluish during it so I know I'm getting hypoxic. I had a new Hickman Line

put in on Wednesday but did not have any anesthia or anything and they put it in

the same spot so I can't imagine that is the problem. They also put me on a

prophylactic antibiotic since I am so immune compromised so I can't imagine I

have an infection. I really have no idea what it could be and hesitate to go to

the dr because I don't want to be over reacting over nothing. Plus when my lungs

are not completely on fire I go back to my baseline which is not good but is

nothing like I'm experiencing. Any ideas? Sorry this ended up so long. It is

hard to explain the situation in an email.
