Guest guest
There is a retreat center in southern Oklahoma called the Lifestyle Center of America (http://www.lifestylecenter.org/). It specializes in reversing severe medical conditions using exercise and vegan nutrition. It's beaucoup bucks, but they've had amazing results with their week-long interventions, particularly with diabetics, heart patients, the overweight, and those suffering from depression. It's also a pretty large organization, with lots of doctors on staff, etc. Anyway, my Mom knows their former nutritionist, and I asked her to call and find out about how they addressed B12 in their vegan menus. Seems they had to resort to using fortified ingredients. She recommended a bowl of Total and soy milk for breakfast to take care of a day's worth of B12. I don't know if Total is whole grain or processed. Perhaps someone who is training with a master (or going on a cruise with some, hint, hint) could get some better ideas.
