Guest guest
Thanks Heidi and everyone else who I may have missed, my outgoing email has not been working for a few days! Congratulations on your pregnancy and I'm so happy that you are having some relief from your symptoms! I hope it continues for you for a long time! Wow, you were diagnosed very young with RA, at least from what I've read. I can't imagine trying to deal with a chronic illness at that young of an age. How frustrating! Did it take a long time for your diagnosis or was it fairly obvious? My internist says he thinks my blood tests may be " false negative " so I guess we'll see what the rheumatologist says. Right now, I'm just trying to get through some new hip pain and an ulcer that won't heal, because of the ulcer I can't take any anti-inflammatories so that's kind of a vicious circle! I did check out the web site at the bottom of the posts and found it very helpful, thanks for the tip, and thanks again for the welcome! Betsy New Here Hi there Betsy, Welcome to the Group! It sure sounds like RA to me, it’s a good thing that your doctor has referred you to a Rheumy. I was diagnosed with RA almost 2 years ago at age 25. My RF Factor was negative but I had very high CRP and ESR scores which are rarely normal (they are now that I’m pregnant though!). I’ve been on Prednisone since I was diagnosed as I was trying to fall pregnant. Since I’ve been pregnant I’ve dropped my dosage considerably (down to only 3mg’s now and since I feel fine should go down to 2.5mg’s tomorrow after I’ve been to see my doctor) – I think (pray!) that I’m in that much sought after remission that pregnant women often have. I really recommend that you check out a’s web-site (link on the bottom of the posts), it has a wealth of information and it will be good for you to jot down stuff to ask the Rheumy when you go and see him. Good luck for your appointment and let us know how it goes, Take care, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
