Guest guest
Many studies have shown that the more mercury in the hair, the less the child is affected by neurodevelopmental problems. In other words, autistic children had much lower levels of mercury in the hair than the NT controls. The fact that there is no mercury in the hair most likely means that he has lots of mercury, he is just not excreting it. Lead is easier to detox than mercury so he has some ability to detox. But the fact that no mercury is showing up in the hair most likely means that he is not excreting it. Unfortunately, it does not mean that he does not have any. The first time we checked for mercury with our former pediatrician -- who I just refer to now as The Barbarian, my NT daughter had more mercury in her hair and urine than my ASD son. Guest guest
A hair test shows what the body has excreted in the past 3 months. Remember, mercury is the hardest metal to bind to and comes out last. Our kids are generally non excretors and hold on to metals. You only know what is coming out and not what is in the body. You may want to run the French urinary porphyrins test to find out what is inside the body (mercury and lead). --- lola954011 wrote: > Hi group > > My son's hair test result showed a very high level > of Lead, but NO > Mercury. > > Here are his levels: > > Antimony: 0.085 and the normal level is 0.016 > Aluminum: 24.0 and the normal level is 17.3 > Cadmium : 0.066 and the normal level is 0.022 > LEAD : 4.038 and the normal level is 0.700 > Nickle : 0.62 and the normal level is 0.55 > Tin: 0.322 and the normal level is 0.149 > Calcium : 1812 and the normal level is 1588 > Magnesium: 280 and the normal level is 122 > Strontium : 10.88 and the normal level is 4.40 > Vanadium : 0.138 and the normal level is 108 > Zinc : 522 and the normal level is 245 > > I'm going to see our DAN this week. Guest guest
The mercury is known to hide in places that aren't shown in hair or blood tests. A urine test can show mercury, but unfortunately this has been the problem with the entire mercury issue. Because if it were that apparant then the vacines would of changed decades ago. Our son also showed no signs of mercury and lots of lead. We've been doing CaEDTA suppositories and IV's. Your DAN will be able to guide you I'm sure. Best to you and your son. Guest guest
You likely won't see mercury until the lead comes out. Biochemically, it's easier for the chelation agent to bind to the lead. > > Hi group > > My son's hair test result showed a very high level of Lead, but NO > Mercury. Guest guest
my son's first test (urine post provocative where you take some oral DMSA to move the deposits of toxic metals from the organs into the system..) showed elevated lead and normal levels of mercury but after we started chelation the mercury started to come out and showed as elevated in all the following tests for a year or so. It is coming down just now! > > Hi group > > My son's hair test result showed a very high level of Lead, but NO > Mercury. Guest guest
Just realized that was a hair analysis. In hair, less mercury typically means more toxicity. A typical child excretes 3.8 mcg per gram of hair according to the holms, blaxil, haley study on mercury in first baby hair cuts. The typical autistic only excretes .47 mcg... my son .03 mcg. As far as mercury is concerned (and it's a unique property of mercury) less excretion of mercury is typically a sign of toxicity. - Stan > > > > Hi group > > > > My son's hair test result showed a very high level of Lead, but NO > > Mercury. > > > > Here are his levels: > > > > Antimony: 0.085 and the normal level is 0.016 > > Aluminum: 24.0 and the normal level is 17.3 > > Cadmium : 0.066 and the normal level is 0.022 > > LEAD : 4.038 and the normal level is 0.700 > > Nickle : 0.62 and the normal level is 0.55 > > Tin: 0.322 and the normal level is 0.149 > > Calcium : 1812 and the normal level is 1588 > > Magnesium: 280 and the normal level is 122 > > Strontium : 10.88 and the normal level is 4.40 > > Vanadium : 0.138 and the normal level is 108 > > Zinc : 522 and the normal level is 245 > > > > I'm going to see our DAN this week.
