Guest guest
, I'm very sorry to hear about your latest developments, especially about your renal insufficiency. I hope that at this time your doctors will collaborate and get serious about trying to reduce the number of meds you are taking. With all those drugs in the picture, it may be very difficult to sort out exactly what the problem is with your kidneys. From Postgraduate Medicine, " Progressive Renal Insufficiency " : http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/2000/07_00/schmitz.htm " Chronic Renal Failure " from MedlinePlus: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000471.htm Here is a good article on drug-induced nephrotoxicity from Postgraduate Medicine: http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/1996/12_96/thatte.htm " Nephrotoxic Drugs in General Practice " : http://www.theberries.ns.ca/Fall2002/nephrotoxic_drugs.html From FamilyPracticeNotebook.com, an outline on nephrotoxic drugs: http://www.fpnotebook.com/REN97.htm I'm wondering with a why the surgeon is in such a rush to cut your breast. Here's an interesting abstract on Mondor's disease: http://www.ecr.org/T/ECR02/sciprg/abs/pc0196.htm Some other Mondor's articles: http://www.arrs.org/edu/caseofweek/breast/breast01/cow01_1022/01_1022d.html http://www.rad.upenn.edu/resmac/weekcase/Archives/Breast1.html [ ] Thanks a! i go back to hospital on christmas eve > > Thanks for the info a. My rheumatologists and primary care want me togive them info on Mondors so i will tellthem what you found. The breast surgeon still plans to cut it out. Tuesday i have to go back to thehospital as i found out yesterday i am having renal insufficiency-i hope its from methotrexate. my creatinine has doubled since september and its now 1.7, my albumin and bilirubin are up too. i was looking on my enbrel package and it said in rare cases it causes thrombophlebitis s o im wondering if the enbrel caused the MOndors disease as i have had no trauma to the breast since June 2000 from a bad car wreck.its a shame that sometimes we have to figure this stuff out for ourselves.if anyone has high creatinine would love to hear from you. after i have the surgery for mondors disease i have to have eye surgery so 2003 is getting off to a good start. > > I pray for Debs often during the day and i love her and miss her! > > Thanks > > -orlando
