i was just wondering if anyone else had any of these things when they were young? i remember i had exzema (sp?) so bad behind my knees and the inside of my elbows that they were raw, and that there wasn't really any good medicine available to help...thinking about it now, i bet it frustrated the heck out of my parents, here i couldn't breath, was getting shots for allergies and had this awful rash....i hadn't thought of the exzema for years but just seen while reading on web md.julie

That is an interesting observation and question. I know sometimes a

person can have chickenpox as a child and later in life come down with

shingles.

I personally had all the usual childhood illneses, but until EN I was

pretty healthy and had no skin rashes or allergies of any kind.

I have never heard of any association of childhood illness, allergies

or rashes that later manifested as EN, but that simply means the

question has not been asked.
