Guest guest
Shirl, Once again...HOLY COW GIRL!!! In my humble opinion I would skip a few days of the synthroid and see how you feel. You TSH and FT4 are right at the top of normal and your FT3 is obviously high. If my labs looked like this I would probably be in the same boat. I feel horrible with high FT4 and FT3. All the advise I got was get those two hormones to the top of the range because people feel their best when they get there. Well not me. I was HYPER city! You obviously are hyper so why he is giving you more thyroid hormones is beyond me. Go back and read the posts from the last time you posted here. If I were you, and I am not, but...if I were you I would stop the synthyroid all together and get another doctor. You need to trust yourself and your symptoms. Your eyes are the tell tale sign. You might be the odd man out and have to have your Free T's at the bottom of normal. Good luck and I feel for you. Remember, you are not alone and quite a few of us have gone through what you are still going through. a > > Hi Everyone I haven't posted for awhile again! Guest guest
Hey a, I had already decided to stop the snythroid for a week. This has been the worst. I feel like I'm the frog lady. I'm going to look for someone else.I don't know what he is thinking. Last time I was hyper they told me to stop all thyroid meds. I still don't understand all this thyroid stuff I try to read but with the brain fog things don't sink in. These few doc's, I have went to have had me so mixed up. They helped get me into all of this and now it's hell trying to find one to help turn this around. I get so sick and tired of being sick and tired!!! I know you know what I mean.I just never dreamed in a million years I would end up like this. Fourteen years Hypo not one bit of trouble and all it took was one doctor. I am gonna try to get my labs done this next week. He has seen how I'm bouncing back and forth. With all of this he tells me to wait eight. Did I say what they told me, when I called about my hair falling out? His nurse said their are worse things in life then buldgeing eyes and your hair falling out. What kind of crap was that! I know their are worse things but I also know thyroid is some serious stuff that can kill you. Oh talk about fire coming out my ears. A nurse freind of mine said you should never say anything like that to a patient. I sure didn't want to get my hair cut off but I'm hoping the fall out won't be quite as bad. I just have to get use to this! I have saved on eye make up, I guess that's a plus! So I am trying to take the bad with the good. Shirlsophieboris wrote: Shirl,Once again...HOLY COW GIRL!!! Guest guest
Shirl, I'm new, but I can tell you as an ER nurse, you need to get another Dr. pronto. And that nurse was totally out of line with what she said and would never have said it if she had seen someone go into thyroid storm like I have. I won't give you all the details of what happened, but suffice to say that it's nothing to fool around with. Something needs to change NOW to get this under control. I'm not sure what your answer is since I'm newly researching this thyroid stuff myself, maybe those more experienced on this forum can point you in the right direction with that. > > > > Hi Everyone I haven't posted for awhile again!
