Guest guest
just a note...but i was recently investigating causes of tinnitus for my non-hypo husband....and came across that the sensitive teeth toothpaste with potassium nitrate can cause this problem for some folks. he uses it...and had recently changed brands. he stopped it yesterday...and i'm hoping he notices a difference. i ran across Internet blogs/forums where folks said stopping the sensitive teeth toothpaste helped their tinnitus within 2-3 days. cindi > > Jan, > > Niacin too has no noticeable effect on my tinnitus! > > No - never had, nor been offered, any prescription medicine for tinnitus. I just put up with it.
Guest guest
Cindi, Indeed worth mentioning - but sadly not for me! If you go to News:alt.support.tinnitus you will find thread after thread of claims and counterclaims. But the end result is that for most people there does not appear to be a cure. As I said, I have had since around age 8 - now around 45 years. And never have I noticed any correlation with anything - except noise. Guest guest
Sonya, Originally ringing in the ears - now applied to pretty much any 'sounds' that are heard but not due to real sounds. Some people hear all sorts of bangs, whistles, knocks, groans, etc. Mine is pretty classic - very high pitched, a bit like cicadas. Rod > > Is tinnitus ringing in your ears? > I know for myself mine gets worse when I am bloated. But like you Rod, I have never found a way to stop it just control it a little bit and I can't remember a time that I haven't had it. > > Sonya >
