Guest guest
Dear Jo and Jim, I love the colored messages! Do you need a special program to do that? I am using windows '98, if that matters. Love,
Guest guest
Dear Jo and Sue, Thanks for all that info!!! I am going to make it all into a file and keep it on the Group site so we can all refer back to it. " Internet Explorer " and " Netscape " were the two browsers preloaded on my computer which is now 4 years old. I used to get lots of lock ups using Explorer. My friend, Jeff (first boyfriend and a computer whiz) kept warning me about the " rich text " and suggested I try Mozilla by Firefox as my browser to help with the many lock ups. It worked! It is a " lean and mean " browser and doesn't have extra fancy stuff to slow the system down. So it doesn't have the rich text. I've been using Mozilla for everything. I have the group, and my emails on the " one touch " bookmarks, so one click and I'm there. It's nice and snappy. I can't imagine going back to Explorer. Jeff said Mozilla is related to Netscape--a paired down cleaner version I think. You can down load it at: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ You might like it. I have never been able to use Outlook Express. I used to get so many lock ups that Steve (in a fit of total frustration) disabled it. I don't miss it in the least. I know others have said they can't believe I don't use Outlook Express, but one thing about comouters is that there are many ways to do everything, so you eventually figure out something that works. ;-) Love,
