Guest guest
Here is another angle to consider, that I am increasingly curious about: What if the foods themselves are not what is causing problems with food sensitivities? What if it is because of the additives and hormones that are being put into the food? > Much High Fructose Corn Syrup Contaminated With Mercury, New Study Finds > > Brand-Name Food Products Also Discovered to Contain Mercury > This is not the first time, nor the last, that I will have heard about poisons or contaminants in our food supply. It's also not the first time I have heard about the FDA, EPA and other " A " 's having somehow conveniently overlooked whether a certain substance in the food, or in our environment, is dangerous. Funny how they seem to have such relaxed standards on certain things, isn't it? There's a movie out now called " Food, Inc. " that follows a similar vein to the book, " Omnivore's Dilemma " . It would be a good intro to industrial agriculture and food production practices, for those of you who haven't yet learned about where a lot of our available food sources come from. I'm lucky enough to live in a city where organic food is readily available at many of our local grocery stores, and where " Locally produced " , " organic " and " sustainable practice " are selling points at many of our restaurants. If you don't live someplace where these things are common, get out there and demand them! It could help save the health of you and your family. Getting off the soap box now, Serena -- " Basically, civilization needs a new operating system, you are the programmers, and we need it within a few decades.
