Guest guest
I'm thinking that soy has been put in so many things, that we really have to be a bloodhound about it. Soy oil, soy isolates, soy in sooo many things. It's like it's a fad in the food industry. If we don't watch all the labels we will be consuming it all the time. Guest guest
Yeah, I bet the soy industry LOVES this new low carb craze! It's making them millions. I've finally gotten my hubby in the habit of checking labels before he buys something. Now he's getting amazed. Guest guest
Yes, I can't eat so many of the so-called low-carb things in pkgs because everywhere you look there is soy this and that. I'm going to be surprised if this whole country doesn't have one big dead thyroid! I used to just eat away at this stuff, obliviously, even though I was a label reader about other stuff, until I found out the kind of damage it can do. Guest guest
Well, I think that the problem here is not unconcern, rather doctors are so oriented t'wd treating disease after it happens, instead of prevention before. It is in their full education, and thyroid disease takes up very little of their classroom training. The word nutrition takes on new meaning to a doctor, I think. He/she isn't geared t'wd this type of exploration, unless one of THEIR children or THEIR spouse has a problem with it. Only then does it become of major importance. One of the doctors of someone on one of our groups practices in Lubbock Texas. It is all very real to him because his wife, their natural daughter, their adopted daughter, and the darn cat they own ALL have thyroid disease, so his main understanding and objectives are thyroid disease and total balancing of the endocrine system. It's got to be pretty real to a doctor then, lol! Tx Re: Re: & - Soy weigh-in - wonder when the medical community is going to take it seriously? Soy is a thyroid disrupter. why aren't physicians warning people? sheila
