Guest guest
This has happened to me before. I faxed them a copy of the Medicare Regulation & restated that 100% was all we could reimburse. I also faxed a copy of the Billing Information we sent at the time of testing which also stated this information. They finally accepted the 100%. They now state they will not accept 100% of the Mcare allowable…they want 100% of charges because that's what they pay for their long distance work-ups. Has this happened to anyone and if so how did you handle it? Just imagine my surprise when I got the call! Thanks & Happy New Year! Guest guest
Our coordinators also send out a letter w/the orders but we have the same problem of that info not making it to the billers. Invariably we'll get a call and I will re-send the letter, which states in no uncertain terms that the facility is not allowed to bill the donor for any balances after we pay 100% of the Medicare allowable. on Financial Counselor Legacy Transplant Services 1040 NW 22nd Ave Ste 480 Portland OR 97210 toll free fax lmorriso@...
