Guest guest
Armour has 38 mcgs of T4 and 9 mcgs of T3. T3 has approximately 4x's the immediate potency of T4. I was taking first 100 mcgs of Levoxyl, then months before my conversion to Armour, 125 mcgs of Levoxyl. I am now, however, taking 45 mcgs of Armour plus 50 mcgs a day of Eutirox (version of Levoxyl), taken sublingually. The T4 I take at one time, in the evening, with a 15 mg dose of Armour, then a 15 mg dose of Armour around 1 am (night worker), then one 15 mg dose around 6-7 am, after I get home. That varies only slightly, when I'm off work. In the conversion, it says to take the mcgs of T4 in the Armour and add it to the potency of the T3 (4 x 9 mcgs= 36 mcgs). 38 + 36 = 74 mcgs, supposedly of equivolency to what you were taking. However, I have found that I feel better taking less than I did of the T4 alone. I tried upping the Armour more, but I had hyper symptoms, so I brought it back down to where I spoke about. This is over a long period of time (4 months), so, at this time, that's my appropriate dose. I just found that, because of the immediate effect of the T3 in Armour (and possibly the trace amts of other things in there), I just simply don't need the dose that's supposed to be equivalent to what I was taking in the T4. I haven't tested in 3-4 months, but I can bet that my tests are going to be pretty much where they should be, unless the Free T4 is a little low, possibly. If I'm feeling much better or good, it doesn't matter! Tx Re: Armour arrived > Hi Carla: > What were, if anything, you taking before you got the Armour?
