Guest guest
Hi Everyone, After having an appointment with an Ann Conroy affiliated consultant. He checked me over and has confirmed my own neurosurgeons findings that the decompression surgery I had was successful. The only problem being, I don't feel good. Between the Pain Management Dr, two Neurosurgeons, and my own Dr, they all agree I should try Amitriptyline again, as they feel the first time I used it, I didn't take it at high enough dosages. So yesterday night I took my first dose 10mg. When I woke up this morning, I remembered why I didn't like taking it the first time. As the day progressed I got progressively worse. Terribly sleepy, muzzy, woozy head, feeling like i'm not on this planet, nearly passed out in town. I came straight home and slept all afternoon. Also I woke up this morning with a numb arm, which is still numb now. I also for the last week have been experiencing a shooting pain in my hip, normally only at nightime. Now today I have had the shooting pain all day long. I just dont know what is going on with me, I am dreading going up to 50mg with the Amitriptyline, which is what the Dr's seem to want me to do. What will I be like then? I am just so fed up with feeling rubbish. Thanks for listening Debbie U.K. ACM/SM/Decompressed 01 Oct
