Guest guest
Or how about 1/2 for doing the right thing, 1/2 for having outcomes either above baseline or higher than average in your area? I have a very difficult population, with the norm being at least 50 lbs. Overweight. But I think I do better than my cohorts because I pay attention to the money - I spend an inordinate amount of time making sure my patients can get their meds so they can take them. I have learned how to ask questions about compliance to uncover when money is an issue. But oh Lord, it is sooo hard to put measures in place on top of all I already do without compensation! Guest guest
My concern that if you link pay to good outcome, some (many?) mds will be reluctant to care for those patients that will be less likely to have a good outcome.
