Guest guest
Some things I really found helpful was mints, throat lozengers, since your throat is sore from the tube down your throat while asleep. If the doc lets you a little bottle of spray cloraseptic or any throat spray is great to keep at your bed. It just takes a while for the nurses to get it (not the biggest priority - but a big comfort to you immediately after) Change is great, because it's always nice to get a snack out of a machine or a REAL drink. If your child is having surgery, there is nothing like Mom's cookies for post op! They were so comforting to me and the doctors! They even let me have a CD player with headphones( guess that's an IPOD now! : ) in ICU. The nurses were really sweet and that helped to keep me calm with all of the beeps in the ICU. Be sure to pack high protein snacks for you, like protein bars, nuts, etc. ( Mom's don't take care of yourselves, make sure you do and take a water bottle). I'll be praying for you . God Bless, Amy ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
