Hi there !

My name is Marie, I've been a member for almost 2 months now but never

took the time to introduce myself or comment on the very intersting

emails posted on this web-site (thanks to all of you ). I have been

going from one continent to the other and my life has been a but hectic

lately but I will try to write more often if I can.

I'm writing you from Paris (my "original home") by the way ! Yes I am

French. I was living in the US for the last year and a half, working as

a personal macrobiotic/vegan chef (live-in position, full-time). Love

my job, love to nurture others and teach them how to ake better care of

themselves, can be very tiring though, you give so much and do not

always get enough in return. Anyway, that is a different story.

Might sound strange to some of you but I wish I was in the US...would

love to be able to work in NYC but unfortunately the US immigration

office told me in february that I have been coming to often on my

tourist visa so I'm out of the country for a few months but but but...

I will be going to Asia soon, exciting !!!!!! For the ones who know me

I am a world traveler ! Love traveling !

In a few weeks I will leave to China, stay there for about 3 weeks and

then head to Japan, by ferry I guess, not sure yet. I am going to

volunteer in Japan, somewhere in a remote area, on a small organic farm

I think, nothing is set up yet that's why I can not give to many

details. What I know is that I am going and that I should stay 3 months

or more in Japan, can not wait to be there !!!

Might not always be on-line though and might need to unsubscribe before I go.

I agree with who said that things come to you (job, money,

opportunity....), let them come to you, do not worry too much, trust

the universe and your lucky star. Things, good or bad, happen for a

reason. You don not have a job ? maybe it is time to relax, take care

of yourself. Ok it might sounds easy to write or say but it works with

me.

Regarding Michele's health issues, it is hard for me to get in the debate surgery or no surgery.

First of all, as regards to Denny Waxman, he is a great counselor, I

graduate last november from his 1-year certificate program (great,

loved it, something that should definitely consider), and

charge $350 for consultation. I am sure that if you have money issues

you can pay in 2 or 3 times. Tell him that you know me. You can trust

him he is very talented. Of course he is only one counselor among

others and you have a few others, with maybe a different

approach, that could help you out too.

If Denny think that you should go for surgery first he will. He is not

that close minded on that subject (but can be when it comes to

supplements, vimtains, other '"alternative medecine"....).

Give him a call on monday, try to see him in the next following days

(he will find time for you) and see what you think of what he says, if

you can trust him, etc...

It is very personal and according to me you should follow your intuition, I do not want to influence you.

I remember Sherry saying during the cruise lasr feb (and read it

in different publications) that for person with cancer you should have

enzymes, lots of enzymes. Best kind if raw vegetables and the easiest

way to get it and assimilate the nutrients without giving too much work

to your organism is to juice (great idea to buy a juicer!). Carrot

juice is great to fight cancer as well as green juices (green leafy

veg); Stay away from fruit juices though, too much sugar.

Sugar is really bad for cancer, sugar feeds the cancer cells, it makes

them grow and spread. Eat sweet vegetables (carrot, onion, parsnip....)

instead.

Do coffee enema too.

Regarding supplements and vitamins I do take some because I feel that I

need it (and do better since I have been on a detox program + vitamins

program). Unfortunately food is not as strong and not as healing as it

is used to be, even 50 years ago. Plus the air is more polluted, more

toxic, same with the water + stress + life style...

I don not thint that food is enough now days but that is my point of view.

For omega-3 a good source is flax seeds. Grind (use a coffee grinder)

fresh raw organic flax seeds and sprinkle 1 or more tsp in your grain,

on your pressed salad...Not on something hot. Do not grind too much at

the time and refrigerate.

I do not like the "it is" or "it is not" macrobiotic. Everything can be

macrobitoic, nothing is "forbidden", it is just a question of balance

and of course that is all the difficulty find your OWN balance. It is

not because it is on "the list" that you should never have it.

Learn to listen to your body, see how it reacts to different foods, experiment.

Macrobiotic is about "non credo", do not follow whatever Michio or

whoever else say like a sheep but try to understand first and

experiment.

So if extra virgin coconut oil makes you feel great go for it ! I eat

avocado and do great on them eventhough Denny do not recommend them.

Counselors only know one side of yourself, they do not live with you, they are not inside you.

Food is only one square of the puzzle, your activity, lifestyle,

thoughts...are also very meaningful. Stress or negative thoughts can

damage your health.

One last thing (I know I shoudl have written more regularly...)

regarding Reggie's idea to get seaweed and teas at the Oriental market,

chinese but also japanese.

I personally do not recommend it because for examples seaweed that are

not top quality (of course much more expensive) are processed with

chemicals or sugar are spread on nori sheets...

The power of macrobiotics relies on very good quality "super products"

such as miso, umeboshi, seaweed, shoyu/tamari, kuzu... You do not want

to save money by bying cheaper when it comes to those because your body

will not heal as well and will not benefit from their amazing powers.

Order from Natural Import in Asheville NC they have a great selection by Mitoku and the best price.

Have a wonderful sunday.

Love and peace to all of you,

marie
