All vegan:

stuffing - my dad likes my stuffing better than my mom's (sausage, in the carcass)

mashed potatoes

"chicken" gravy

steamed veggies - broccoli and corn so far, haven't decided what else

I don't really care for turkey "replacements" I like a Thanksgiving meal of what a friend of mine likes to call "Gowitits" (go with its)

dessert:

chocolate tofu pudding pie

vegan version of "Ice box cake" - one dessert I was really sad to give up, til I discovered vegan versions of everything I needed.

Not too long after Thanksgiving I start baking X-mas cookies, my brother is really excited...last year I made vegan and non-vegan versions of each cookie, his favorites are the vegan. He was even raving to his girlfriend how she won't feel the same about non-vegan cookies after having my animal friendly versions. :o)

I've bought an Un Turkey (Tofurkey has sugar) and will make the rice

krispies in the Porter book for dessert!

going to my sister who will make " vegan options " all microwaved, no

thanks and then she will make " a bird " which she so nicely points

out and mentions " sorry about the dead bird " like she's being hip

and repulsed. Sorry doesn't cut it and just don't mention it, by

mentioning it I think it's worse............... :)

In her defense she does make tons of food and tries to make

something for everyone. I just don't agree with their eating habits.

Actually there is Thanksgiving in Canada too, when is that? What's

for eating up there?

Sure you can come Reggie, there will be plenty of food!! I am actually going to make real mashed potatoes, millet is my least favorite grain ever. I eat potaoes probably twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I do love to cook, made an awesome black bean chili last night, though I overdid it with the cilantro. Have lot of leftovers so I'm having it for lunch and will probably add some brown rice to soak up some of the liquid so I can eat it as a burrito for dinner.
