Guest guest
Hi everyone, my name is Lora. I've had thyroid problems for about 3 1/2 years that I know of but was told at first it was cancer...then.. no! it's thyroiditis and would go away in a few months.. then a few months ago during routine blood work they said I was hyper again and diagnosed me with graves disease. After a trip to the endo last week my (final?) diagnosis is Hashimoto's Disease with subclinical hyperthyroidism. I am trying to figure out how to proactively fight this disease but some days I just wanna find a short rope and a tall tree. I feel like an idiot because it seems like I'm trying to learn a foreign language instead of learning about a disease I have. Right now.. I'm on 75 mgs of PTU three times a day, 40 mgs Inderal twice a day, 20 mgs of baclofen three times a day, 10 mgs buspar twice a day and an albuterol inhaler since I developed asthma a month or so ago. On my own I take a vitamin that has 1,000 msg calcium, 400 mgs magnesium, 15 mgs zinc and I take that three times a day. I eat advil like candy (12-20 pills a day) because I'm in so much pain. Oh, I also take potassium pills that my MIL gives me.. about two of those a week. Does anyone know anything else I can be taking to stop these muscle spasms? Thanks, Lora
