Just wanted to let all know I am still here. Since my move to FL in Sept, in

addition to the RA, I have been fighting chronic akathisia (severe

restlessness that will cause you to drive off of a cliff. The only relief is

a shot in the ER. It was thought to come from one dose of phenergan (although

I took it all of my life) in July when the akathisia put me in critical care,

but now there is question. I see a neurologist on Thurs.

Just to let all know, antidepressants can also cause akathisia so please,

those who take them, talk to your doctor about the meds you are taking. No

one ever mentioned this side effect to me

my best to all of you.

Hi Joanne,

I'm glad you posted. I have been wondering about you. I'm sorry to hear

that you still have this awful problem. I don't know how you cope with it.

Are you able to sleep at night? You must be completely worn out.

How are other things going since your move? I am still without a companion.

I told my bed buddie to stay away. He was starting to be annoying. I

enjoyed the attention, but he started to not show up when he was supposed to

and never called to tell me that he couldn't be here. Then he would call and

expect me to drop everything. It was beginning to be inconvenient and that's

the last thing that I need. Another problem.... But I am working on someone

else right now. It may take some time. I have to tread slowly with him

because of a horrible relationship that he just got out of. He is a bit

gunshy if you know what I mean. But he is fun and he loves Wyatt and Wyatt

just loves him. So I am slowly, slowly reeling him in. I hope. And if it

goes no further, then that's ok too. He is a great friend.

Anyway, it is great to hear from you. I hope that you can get to the bottom

of the akathisia soon.

Love and Hugs

Stacey in PA

This is such a worrisome situation, Joanne. What did the neurologist say

Thursday?

Sorry for the angry

Don't feel bad. We all have our angry negative days. My only suggestion

is to pick yourself up, brush the dust off and start all over again. If

you want to ask questions or need someone to vent to, my email box is

always open. Have you also tried to write in a journal. This really

helps me. Not only to I track my calories, which definately keeps me

honest when I want to over eat but I can also write all my feelings

down.

Blessings,
