Guest guest
Doctors Warn About Third-Hand Smoke Hazards While third-hand smoke isn't as harmful as first or second-hand smoke, Dr. Bray says there is no safe level of exposure. " Small children are always vulnerable because their respiratory systems are less developed than an older person, " he said. " People with allergies, like hay fever, are more vulnerable and folks with asthma. " Dr. Bray says simply being in a room where someone has smoked can trigger an attack. That's been a problem for Tinika's 5-year-old daughter Neveah, who has asthma. " My daughter was having some troubles breathing, " said Tinika. " I took her in to be examined at the Duluth Clinic, and it was something that was in the back of my mind and I felt the need that day to speak about it. The doctor started talking to me about the third-hand smoke. " http://www.wdio.com/article/stories/S810694.shtml?cat=10349 Alana
