Guest guest
Hi, my name is . I was diagnosed with Hashi's 3 yrs ago. What little I have learned about the disease, I have learned from the internet. I had an allergic reaction to something, that developed into vasculitis. They tested me for all the auto-immune diseases. Hashi's is what they found. I am thankful for that. It is much easier to manage than lupus or RA. I started on Synthroid and within 6 mths was on 150mcg. I never felt any better. I still continued to be tired, dry skin, brittle hair and my weight kept creeping up. However, my thryoid function was fine, but my antibodies were 70+. I have had muscle & joint pain 2-3 days a week for the last 3 years. I stopped taking the Synthroid in June 07 and lost 37 lbs. Recently though, my whole body hurts all the time. I went to my pcp & she did the thyroid panel, ultrasound & arthritis panel. Now my antibodies are 637. That explains the constant pain. She started me back on Synthroid 100mcg. Can anyone tell me if this will bring the antibodies back down or will they stay at this level? Does this have any long term effects on your body?
