I was watching the repeat last night on Discovery Health about the woman who was diagnosed with AD and wondered if it might be something Chiarians are subject to. I did some research on this condition and found that I have most of the symptoms. My pcp is running tests to find out if it is just the chiari causing my symptoms or if it is something else. I have been having muscle cramps in both legs and now they are everywhere else. If I lie back in the bath tub and try to sit up, my abdominal muscles cramp up. If I bend my head down, my neck muscles (front of my neck) cramp up. I have copper colored skin (the part that still has color since I have loss of pigmentation). And I could go on, but mainly I just wondered if any of you have this problem. I checked the archives and found a few posts on the subject, but none in a while. My pcp is running a slew of blood tests to see if she can solve the mystery of my symptoms. Since chiari crowds and sometimes compromises the pitutitary gland and that gland regulates cortisol causing adrenal insufficiency, I wondered if it is something sometimes seen in chiari patients.
