Guest guest Posted October 13, 2007 Report Share Posted October 13, 2007 I know that the Doctor's from TCI will answer questions on occasion. I need advice on getting another myelogram. My herniation is 17mm - I have a pacer so I was originally diagnosed through a myelogram. I have seen some literature that stated a myelogram is contraindicated in someone with a chiari. I have some foot drop on my right foot ( In review - I am pretty sure I have had some degree for the last 6 or 7 years.) Has gotten worse - have to be very careful to keep from tripping. My Ortho Doctor and Neuro and PCP thinks my problem is my back (did have a lot of pain in my right trocanter and then it moved into my right buttocks). I do have quite a bit of arthritis in my spine. But no longer have the pain - my lower back feels tight but no pain. Doctor Oro advised me not to get a myelogram but what if my back gets worse?
