Guest guest
Hi Gang, I'm home from my travels. We started in NY at TCI. I was fortunate to see Dr. Bolognese, and Dr. Kula for a follow up on my TCS surgery. It wound up being more of an upper body follow up. I had upper body symptoms start at approx. 3 months after my TCS surgery. After imaging and neuro exam it was found my rods from my fusion done 1 1/2 years ago are bending when I am upright. I have a large patch and the screws for the fusion start at approx. the top of my ears, then no other screws until the 1st vertebrae. The rods are just not strong enough to hold my head up. I will need custom made rods that are thicker to replace the old rods. I'm so thankful that TCI was able to find out the cause and know what to do to help me start feeling better again. Thanks for everyone that asked about me while I was gone. I should have let everyone know that I was leaving in advance! We had company two weeks in a row before I left, and was simply warn out before we left for NY. Kathleen Diagnosed with CM/hydrocephalus 1990, decompression/shunt.
