HA/ER visit

Hi all: I know, I know, Sally said don't get your hopes up. I went to

the pain mgmt dr on friday, as he is a pain mgmt dr, thought he may

help manage pain b4 I get to TCI. I had the appt for 2 mos, so did not

want to cancel. I should have, waste of time and money. He is

supposed to be some HA guru. He says, no way I have Chiari. I have 2

types of migraines. These are also causing all of my other symptoms.

Ok, I hear all the groaning and yelling out there. Not to worry, I

let him talk and acted like he knew what he was talking about. By the

way, besides anti depressants, he would like me on steriods and get

injections into my head! What?!!! No way anyone is going to inject me

in the head, esp. not this quack.

While I was there got a doozy of a HA, maybe brought on by the stress

of what he said or the fact that he pushed real hard on 2 places in

the back of my head.

I ended up going to the ER for a shot. The ER dr was AWARE! Yes, I

said he was AWARE. He brought the med student back into my room and

asked my to hold my 2 arms up and close my eyes. He told her, look at

the drift, I felt my one arm drifting down. that is classic with ACM.

He also told her my pain and stiffness in the neck & upper back was

classic.

WOW. I was impressed and happy. First

time I went to ER and was treated like that.
