Guest guest
A friend is a very important person for me. Meeting a friend after a long gap is one of the biggest pleasures I can hope for. And I had this pleasure a few days ago when I met one of my friends. He is a cardiologist. We were posted together at a place in Himachal Pradesh in the late 1990s. It was an enriching relationship. Our frequent walks through the picturesque countryside , with a mighty mountain range in the background, is the most enduring memory of that period. He called on us one evening. The mental highway to our shared past opened up instantly. The journey down the memory lane was smoothened by a few drinks. We decided to go for a walk the following morning. The next morning was an exhilarating experience. It was never-ending greenery all around. This region is dotted with Gurudawras; there is one every few km. Soothing music from the nearby Gurudwaras wafted through the surroundings. We talked about so many things. Interestingly, we even compared our paunches, which, I think, every middle-aged man has to deal with. The walk ended. Finally, it was time for us to part again. We shook hands warmly. Seeing him again made me very happy. And I could see the same expression mirrored in his eyes. Bharat From cricket scores to your friends. Try the Yahoo!
