Dear Patti and Group,Just to clarify a point about Medicare eligibility: If you are under 65, you can get Part A without having to pay premiums if: * You have received Social Security disability benefit for 24 months.You must pay for Part B if you want it. The Part B monthly premium in2004 is $66.60. It is deducted from your check. This is quoted from the very excellent Social Security Link on ourGroup site. So yes, after you are eligible for 24 months of Disability, you willget Medicare. That alone is "worth the price of admission".So you are a two way winner, Patti!Love,
