One of the things that they taught me was that if I am not relaxed it will hurt more. Also, vaccines tend to go into the muscle vs just under the skin like an allergy shot does so they are more likely to hurt the next day. It depends on the type of shot they are giving where it goes and how much it will hurt...but it also depends on the person recieving the shot just as much as who is giving it. I have to watch when they are giving me a shot...I can actually relax when I see it coming. Dont ask me why I am this way...I just am.Ive never had a flu shot and probably never will. Same for the pneumonia vaccine. My husband just had the flu mist vaccine and he was physically ill for 2 days after he took that. He has no choice in the matter though, the military says he has to take it. My mindset is that as long as I dont let my health slip I am able to steer clear of the flu & bronchitis. I am now past the time of year where I normally get bronchitis on an annual basis so I think I should be good...at least until we move to Ga at the end of the month. I have only had the flu once in my life, 22 years ago...and I got that when I was already in a very weakened immune state from having bronchitis. Our school was closed down that year for a particularly bad flu outbreak...45% of our students and teachers got sick with it that year.If it makes anyone feel better though, I did start taking 1000mg of Vit C a few weeks ago.Ann McCain or Obama?
