Guest guest
Years back I was in a test to see what vitex essential oil did for hot flashes. The oil was mixed into a cream base and we were to apply the cream twice a day, either to the soles of our feet or our stomach. I could not us my stomach, as it made me nauseous, whereas my friend could not use the soles of her feet because that made HER nauseous! So, apparently these can be two good places for direct absorption. But I have also got a cream from a doctor in Florida that has cured everything using non-invasive methods. He does everything by creams! Well, he has a very few tinctures, but his forte' is cream. Almost all his healing formulas are applied via the skin. He uses the backs of the knees, the inside of the elbows, the wrists, ankles and behind the ear as places to put the cream for fastest absorption, due to thin skin (and close veins). Hope this helps. Samala, -------Original Message------- In the case of the Emu Oil Lotion it has to be put on thin skinned areas, anywhere you blush or where there is little subcutaneous fat. This is to ensure that it goes into the circulation and does not just depot in the fat and slowly release. You want a fast release.
Guest guest
So, did the vitex get rid of the hot flashes? I'm eager to know the results of this one! I've taken it in pill form without much success.MaraYears back I was in a test to see what vitex essential oil did for hot flashes. Guest guest
My thought on starting at the full 4.5 mg dose is to reap the benefits more rapidly. I have read that only 30% experience the sleeplessness. Still I am prepared with two forms of Melatonin, both timed release and a rapid release sub lingual. Generally Melatonin works well for me. I am not particularly concerned about being sensitive to LDN. Just aware of the range of experiences from reading the various forums and lists. And if I can go to the full dose right off, why not? As far as getting more of a punch with the transdermal route in general, I have not heard of this being an issue with the Emu Oil Lotion that Dr. McCandless prescribes for many of her patients, most of whom are autistic and often of more than average sensitivity to many substances. Although Emu Oil and the polyoxmer gel that are the base for the lotion are not as efficient as DMSO at transport they are both used for their effectiveness in transdermal delivery. In fact Emu Oil has been declared to be second only to DMSO in this respect based on research funded by the Emu Association in standard lab models. There is the possibility of a need to reduce the dose due DMSO enhancing delivery. At this point my sense is that some adjustments may be required regardless of form of delivery. From what I have gathered from my reading whether due to individual differences in metabolism or state of health . . . adjustments in dose are part of LDN therapy. Dose is ultimately adjusted to effect. For instance body weight varies greatly between children and adults yet many children are on a full 4.5 mg dose. And some adults end up on a 3 mg dose.
