Guest guest
My local Nsg was able to squeeze me in for a CINE flow study of my head today. Granted, I have a little experience from seeing my CINE taken prior to my first surgery and the results from this one aren't encouraging. It looks like my arachnoid cyst in my right posterior fossa has possibly reformed, because there doesn't seem to be hardly any (if any at all) flow around the right hemisphere of my cerebellum. There is good (or at least decent) flow on the left. As well, when one looks at the flow going up my spine, as it comes into the foramen magnum, the flow is offset to the left and apparently having a difficult time getting into the right. The one troubleing thought in my mind is that when Dr Oro did my decompression, he took out more skull on the right side to compensate for my arachnoid cyst. (Here's where an explanation may be needed. My cyst was " crushing " my right cerebellum and pushing it out of the foramen magnum. My left side was fine.) Thus, even though Dr Oro did try to compensate, there still is little flow on that side. This is upsetting to say the least. I just started a job that I love (as a Neuro ICU nurse, thanks to my initial experiences), getting my life in order and all of that, and now this. I've contacted Dr Oro, TCI and a local doctor to try and see what should or needs to be done next. My legs, back, and head are killing me at this point. My arms are starting to ache as well. Hopefully I can get back to feeling good most of the time. That is all I ask for. Thanks for letting me vent, guys and gals... =) --------------------------------- Need a vacation?
