Ah ! Now my ploy has worked. My mail has prompted Shyam to become Sheikh

I whole heartedly agree with you ! Shyam is a totally different league....

although I wouldn't particularly complain about gifts (I am the kanjoos one),

Ashok has this habit of using khoodka brain in things which do not concern him,

like the kitchen. Once I asked him to buy vanilla ice cream (to make mango

kulfi.....). He turns up with chocolate chip cookie dough with the arguement

that the later was better. Since then I have to explain whole nine yards

whenever I ask him to do something. Sometimes I just end up doing it myself

instaed of going thro the entire process.....

I do think it is cute of Ashok to buy chocolate cookie dough to make mengo

Hi Malini,

I am sure you understood why I brought the chocolate cookie dough instead of

vanilla....because Renuka never told me that she was going to make mango

icecream out of it....and I picked the former because I thought the kids will

enjoy it more than plain vanilla !!

 

Nevertheless I hate grocery shopping and Renuka prefers me not too even when I

offer to volunteer once a blue moon !!

 

While we are on the topic I was reading the " gile shikwe " you and and I

am sure a lot of other biwis have with their husbands and I was wondering......'

isn't it a MAN thing ' in general ;-))

Hi Ashok- If it is a man thing then why are the Shyams of this world so well

trained?

Grocery shopping and Men- again a man thing- I asked LP to get some salady

stuff- he came back with 3 packs of baby spinach and 3 packs of rocket. With the

best will in the world we are humans not cows and cannot get thru the lot. He

also will get ‘organic juice’ which was on offer (3 for 2 or the like). No

one likes it/drinks it. He cannot understand why no one finishes the expensive,

healthy stuff. List is endless. He does make an effort bless
