Guest guest Posted July 6, 2005 Report Share Posted July 6, 2005 background: Living donor surgery done in March 05. Donor seen at 2 weeks for post-op and cleared by surgeon. Pt came back to to clinic in May complaining of discomfort. Seen by surgeon, tests run, cleared as no problems found. Donor instructed to call the program if any more problems/concerns. No phone calls from donor, but I just received a bill for an ER visit to her hometown hospital with some labs and and ECHO of the ABD. Is the transplant center responsible for this bill if we did not instruct her to be seen?
