Guest guest
Seen my new PCP today. Told him I've been taking this " stupid synthroid since the '70's and that it didn't work before, and it's not working now. Seen two endo's of which neither would prescribe Armour and am losing all my hair on my head, not to mention my eyebrows, and eyelashes and that from what most people in my online support group have said that they started feeling much better when they were put on Armour and I want to try it. " He said " ok, be back in a second. " Came back in with some book and said he needed to find what dosage to put me on because they're prescribed by grains and he hasn't rx'd Armour in a long time. He couldn't find it in his little book so he called the pharmacist so low and behold, I got myself a script for Armour - 1 grain #30 w/6 refills *big smile* and now am going to start calling around to see where I can buy it buy the 100's the cheapest as I'm not going to use my insurance on this since they will only dispense 30 at a time and like Genie says " it's better to get them by the 100's so you get a sealed bottle with an expiration date on it. " The other news is just that I have a virus and to take sudafed and drink lots of water since my throat is all inflammed but he said my ears were ok and of course, just get lotsa rest. Am happier then a pig in sh*t that I got the Armour today and am just really, really, really, hoping that this is gonna finally do the trick. Go back for blood work in 7 weeks and see him the next week. While I was right there I went ahead and had the blood drawn that the endo wanted done checking my Free T4, Free T3, and TSH. Was disappointed that this lab will not send me the results automatically and that I have to " request them in writing " if I want a copy. Will just wait until I know the endo got them and ask what they were since I've been on the 50-75 mcgs. of synthroid and 25 mcgs. of cytomel. {{hugs}} Debbie - sueeey sueey (calling for those little piggies) ;o)
