I am 28yrs old, recently married, and live in Indianapolis, IN. I joined this group because I deal with chronic back pain on a daily basis. 10yrs ago I was involved in an automobile accident where my car was hit by a semi-truck. The accident has effected my lowest three lumbar discs. I am trying to avoid invasive surgery and painful steroid injections, and am concentrating on remaining active by stretching and walking. However, often I am stricken with such pain that I am forced to bed. And, I deal with the constant ache everyday. I am hoping to connect with other individuals out there that share similar experiences. I am wanting to gather information on procedures, activities, and therapies that may help me to continue to live an active and happy life. My husband and I are planning on starting a family and I am concerned about the effects that pregnancy will have on my back injury. So, any information on that topic will be appreciated also.
