Guest guest
Okay you twisted my arm... Hi my name is Carol, I currently live in Vancouver, BC (Canada, eh). I go through cycles where I eat macrobiotically and then not so much. I joined because I'm currently going through one of those cycles and I'm glad I am, since starting I"m starting to feel better overall. When I"m not doing macro I'm just a garden variety vegetarian. I joined the list hoping to just get inspiration and motivation, since I have found in the past it's hard for me to stay motivated. There are only so many way I can cook brown rice. I do have a macro-related mini site. I started eating macro because I'm a fan of Dirk Benedict and his book Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy just fired me up about it, but alot of my friends (and visitors) have left their stories about eating macrobiotically, plus one of them gave me a bunch of recipies. http://www.dbanonymous.org/macro/index.asp Regards, Carol Carol and Hi, I see that there are Carol and Hsu who have also recently joined this month. Would you please tell us a bit about yourself? We are friendly, I promise we won't bite either. :)I just like people to interact some say hello or tell us something once in a while share or ask. I know I need info and I'm sure someone here will have it one time or another. I just think that when people linger and just read everyone else's posts after a while used to not posting it sometimes becomes lurking. Not you, as you're new and so is the group........ I just know how it's been from experience in other groups.I really want this to be a fun group with lots of interaction from lots of different people. I hope whomever is here will be able to help me accomplish that.Have a great weekend,Reggie

Guest guest
- Bascially in a nutshell his book is about how he had prostate cancer and how through macrobiotics he cured himself and the just other random thoughts on health and nutrition. His opinions are really just his opinions. His biggest influence is Bill Duffy (the Author of Sugar Blues) and he was married to Gloria Swanson who also cured herself of cancer using macrobiotics. Here's a link to amazon, to get a better idea. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0895294796/qid=1082875015/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-0263155-1163979?v=glance & s=books Bascially it really got me thinking, it's wierd when my cat got sick the first thing the doctor did was have me change his diet, but yet it never occurred to me till I read the book that I could and should do the same thing (btw - the cats fine now). It's the simplest and most powerful thing. Regards, Carol Re: Carol and Date: Fri, 23 Apr 2004 18:49:09 -0700 Okay you twisted my arm...
