While I'm straightening out my own electronic billing, I'm sending out paper HCFAs on a daily basis. Many HMOs have been reimbursing more rapidly than before, so the cash is still flowing. I'm working with Medware/Medifax - not done setting up because of the inevitable Medicare/ BCBS delays, but should be starting in the next 1-2 weeks. Then you'll probably hear from me about the hassles. I'm surprised to hear United Healthcare is easy. They have rejected 4 out of 4 claims so far, each ror a different incorrect reason. On the first claim, they apparently sent a check to some hospital in another state, which cashed it.
