Guest guest
Well even an IF gives me hope! lol! I really enjoyed your post Reg. For a few reasons I guess. To me it feels like you've been macro FOREVER! I"m still waiting for some books to come in on the topic. ...in the meantime I have a question for you. How would you suggest one EASE into becoming macro? If you had to give your top 3 suggestions to make the gradual change what would they be? And does anyone have a good alternative to cheese or a great recipe for lasagana? It's great! I have a beautiful little girl who will be 2 in July. Isn't she ? Huh, huh??????????????? I have been vegan for at least 10 years but went Macro shortly before becoming pregnant and if your wife is Macro for a while it will make her pregnancy a real joy. I know that there are so many ailments you simply don't deal with being Macro and pregnant or during labor, delivery and how your child turns out. Get a book by Kushi Pregnancy and the care of your newborn or something like that. Forgive me it's like a bible to me, I should know the title by heart. If you want to know I'll get my butt up and check for sure. It's a great book, difficult to find sometimes tho. Check ebay, half.com and amazon used books. If I plan on having another (I said IF .........) I will be sure to eat VERY well before getting pregnant so many sure I don't have morning sickness, etc because that was brutal, I was still discharging sugar! I hope you don't think you're too old to have one, my husband is 49 and I'm 38. Children love dogs too! anyone doing anything interesting this weekend? ????????????? how are you doing? Hey, I still haven't heard what your junk food is........... Have a great one, Reggie > The key moment in going vegan was reached when I attached the > words "liquid meat" to cheese and all dairy. Guest guest
A good alternative to cheese? Mochi. I don't think it would work as say, cheese in lasagna, but if you are like me and always enjoyed just snacking on cheese Mochi is a great alternative. I know that you asked Reggie about easing into being macro, but I just jumped right in. I think the only way to get away from foods that are bad for you is to completely stop eating them and replace them with good foods. Eventually, by eating whole foods you wil not crave junk but if you continue eating crap it will only take longer to stop those cravings. I was much happier dealing with insane cravings for a few days than having to deal with constant cravings for weeks...months...who knows. Anyway, good luck , you can do it!! Guest guest
Hi , It is exciting to see how you've come forward, leaps and bounds, in eating a healthy diet. I also went from eating a Mcs diet to macrobiotic although it took me a couple of months before I stopped eating chicken. For me, as I learn what's involved in my personal consumerism, I make better choices. Also, I maintain my " do my best, bless the rest " attitude as I feel that being relaxed, centered, and happy is a healthy way to live. I know that it's a bit of an aside benefit but wonder if you've lost much weight since you went macrobiotic? At first, I lost too much weight but it balanced out after a couple of years. I am so glad to be fit and conscious as I advance in age. Cheers, * , <qterthanu23@y...> wrote: > A good alternative to cheese? Mochi.
