Guest guest
One of the best parts of Alteer is it allows you to play fax wars with the insurance carriers( always wanting a 1099), merck medco, all the nursing homes and their endless notes, pharmacy refill requests etc. and patient calls. It is now seamless and documented. The insurance companies are quite smart. They will continue to pay what the market demands , damn little. These systems do give you the ability to develop some reports however to fight back and figure out which you will or will not take in the future and have some data to back up the decision. Those in a big group have no clue and will continue to have no clue. It is good to open your own mail. It is good to look at your own EOB forms. This is a real eye opener. Brent > after reading many of teh recent messages I'd like to reinforce that the insurance carriers are just that, extortionists and gamblers! To get the information I am needing I wait for 15 minutes on the phone for someone to tell me i need to call yet another number, for someone to tell me i need to get the info off the website, which doesn't end up having the info I need etc etc ad nauseum. One of the reasons I wanted an integrated system like alteer, and e-md was great too, was to eliminate this. Once it's set up it will deal with 85% of these hassles automatically, and if they don't pay me what they contracted it will deal with that too. I look forward to harrassing them. And I know I'll get audited but I am ready for that too. We are doing ourselves and patients a great service/ > > Rothe DO > 379 Piney Branch Way > Burnsville, NC 28714 > (828)273-2889
