(sorry, Geordie, that we're so late in asking the following)

Rian is interested in Inforetrievers but has never used it before. We've gone to the website and looked at examples of how it works.

Here's a question for those of you who use it regularly. Now that you have it, would you ever practice without it? Has it proven to be easy to access in the exam room and how quickly are you finding answers to your questions regarding specific topics? In Rian's exam room he would be accessing it using his laptop. He's feeling that regarding Inforetriever he would be an older dog learning a new trick. We know that the potential is great but have any of you fifty-something docs adjusted comfortably to this new way to access information in the exam rooms? Gordon, do you use it? (I'm not putting you in the fifty-something category!)

I'm not Gordon but I qualify otherwise. I use info retriever in the

exam room all the time. Some of my memory cells appear to have taken

early retirement so I frequently confirm my impressions of

medications, doses, etc. Also, of course, I use it when I'm clueless.

Patients seem to like the absence of " I'm the doctor I know

everything " and are

reassured that they are getting up to date info.

hi i actually use it all the time in the exam room but on a hand held the

lap top is even better as all this internet stuff the speed depends on

your connection speed .. so i can practice without it but would prefer to

have it at hand.. it is simple for us old dogs and the staff is very

helpful by the wat i am an old one

I will wait until December 15th, the deadline you have set, before I give

you a price, as the price is dependent on the number of users in your

group. On the 16th, I will email you the final list I have to confirm that

and the price we assign. From there, I will generate a code that these

individuals can use to go on-line and subscribe with the discount we

assign and email them all that code so they can begin access after the
